Course Description:
Prairie-style lamps are typically very angular, with geometric designs and clear, crisp colors. The bases are heavier and more substantial than the airy, naturalistic bases used by Tiffany in his Art Nouveau lamps. This lamp is 1 5/8" H, and the bottom of each side of the shade measures 1 1/8" W. Students will learn to cut copper wire to very accurate lengths and to solder the wires into identical panels. The panels will then be assembled on a three-dimensional form and the resulting grid work will be filled with liquid stained
glass paint to simulate the look of glass.

Time: 12 hours. Completion is likely.

Power Tools: none

Skill Level: All levels.

Materials Fee: $20
