Course Description:
This class will allow students to design their own chair. There will be several different chair backs, seats, arms, and legs from which to choose—all interchangeable. With all the different parts to choose from, students will be able to create a chair that is unique to their own style, period, and purpose. Chairs will be able to have open arms and fancy wooden legs, or chairs can be made so they are totally upholstered. Students will assemble their chair and then stain it, if necessary, and then learn how to upholster it. They will be taught different upholstering techniques, depending on the style of their chair.

Time: 12 hours. Completion is likely.

Power Tools: moto tool

Skill Level: All levels.

Materials Fee: $60
