Course Description:
Students will upholster a couch using real leather and fabric. They will be given a cherry wood couch frame that is unfinished. They will stain the frame and then learn how to antique it. Then students will learn how to upholster with leather. There will be a few different colors of leather to choose from. Leather is different to work with than fabric and has its own set of challenges. Students will also be upholstering with fabric. There are several different combinations from which students can choose. When they are finished upholstering, they will add the trim and the small nails. They will also make several pillows for their sofa.

Time: 12 hours. Completion is likely.

Power Tools: flexshaft, moto tool

Skill Level: All levels.
