Course Description:
Along the way to creating this over-the-top dog bed, students will have the opportunity to explore the wonderful world of passementerie. Trimmings are the finishing touch on furniture, draperies, and costuming. Techniques covered will include cording, woven tape, woven fringe, fancy tasseled fringe, simple tassels, and wooden head tassels; with side trips into tufting and stenciling. The sky’s the limit in this “best of show” dog bed.

Time: 24 hours. Completion is likely.

Power Tools: None

Skill Level: All levels. This class is suitable for beginners who want to be able to create perfect trims for their miniature projects, but also provides an opportunity for those who have basic passementerie skills to take them
to the next level.

Materials Fee: $90 ($30 less if students already own
the loom)
