Wicker, Wood, and Patina
PROJECT:
Wicker Sheep Cart
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In this class students will learn a number of ways of weaving wicker in order to produce a cart, back basket, and hamper. Small demonstrations will be given for each step of the project and students will be have the opportunity to practice before actually starting. The sheep and the wheels will be provided by the instructor. Students will use the moto tool to drill the holes in the wood base of the cart and to make the harness.
If there is time, students will have the option of making a very tiny cart or make some Christmas decorations for the cart. Drawings and directions for the tiny cart will be available for students to take home, if they don’t have time to complete it.
In this “no stress” class, the instructor will help each student in each step.
TIME:
24 hours. Completion is likely.
