PROJECT: Wheelbarrow and Baskets for Flowers and Plants

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In this class, students will learn to build a wheelbarrow made of wood; and to paint it and age it with some patina. A moto tool will be used for constructing the wheelbarrow. Then, students will be shown how to make two wicker flowerpots of different sizes, an oval plant basket, a basket for flowers, and a garden tools basket. Of course, students won’t make flowers and plants in class, but they are welcome to bring plants or flowers to put in the baskets. The instructor will provide each student with the materials for making the wheelbarrow and the baskets. The instructor will do demonstrations for each step of the project and will give each student written explanations and drawings.

12 hours. Completion is likely.
