COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The most important point of this class is to make not only a beautiful form, but to make it look more natural and realistic. Students will begin by creating the leaves—mixing clay and color, pressing it very thin, and cutting the leaf forms. Next students will make and paint the “flower,” the spadix and spathe (white bract leaf). Once the stems are created, they are joined with the leaves and spadix and spathe. Finally, students will fix the finished leaves into an original pot creating a well-balanced arrangement.
