The Dream Catcher ~ Sculpting a Figure with Elle Piccolo (F)

This precious sleeping child, dressed as a tiny fairy in tights and wings, lays or sits in her favorite chair, dreaming of things to come. The class is geared toward the beginner sculptor – all that is required is a student’s creativity! The class is a basic sculpting class and students will be sculpting the child’s head only. The instructor will provide finished arms and legs for each student. Students will then add an armature, using batting to form the sewn body and then attaching the arms and legs. Wigging will be added. Paint and make-up adds color and personality to bring out the details and characteristics of the doll. Each student will be able to dress their doll in a fairy costume with slippers to match. Students should bring fine scissors, sculpting tools and a ruler.
