An Artist’s Dirty Sink

The student will be provided with an evaporation distressed ceramic sink with metal legs. The evaporation technique of wet distressing used by the instructor will be discussed. Extensive additional distressing will be taught such as splattering, splotching, and imitation rust drippings. A prepared hardwood palette will be provided, but the student will make the brushes and paint tubes. Materials will be provided for inspirational art pictures, containers to hold brushes, and materials for a sketch pad. Paint splattered rags will be provided for the student to “squnch” into shape and position. The finished “Artist’s Dirty Sink” will make an excellent addition to any studio. Students are asked to bring scissors, Tacky, and an old toothbrush.
