Do you have a collection of silver, figurines, glassware, teapots, flower arrangements, porcelain, jewelry, or…that you would like to display? Maybe you were thinking you would like to start a collection, but where would you put it? I kept buying blown glass from Francis Whitmore and have had it stored in a box. I would like to have it where I can see it and enjoy it…so here is the solution. Put together a laser cut room box that has two shelf units and Grandt line double doors. The inside section of the box slides out for easier access. The frame on the front gives you a clear view of the shelves inside. The top is open with a Plexiglas window to let in light and keeps your collection covered so you won’t have to dust! Students will learn how to make the built-in shelves that are laser cut and make a faux “marble” floor. Then, students will install the double doors and wallpaper. Students will need scissors, tweezers, x-acto knife, small cutting board, #3 or #4 paint brush, small glue jig, or Legos.
